STOP UNDERFUNDING LOUDOUN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
In the past two years alone, the Loudoun County School Board and Board of Supervisors have cut the proposed Loudoun County Public School budget by $70.1 million. This repeated underfunding is hurting students, parents, school employees, and our community as a whole.
Whether it’s inadequate bus service, delayed technological upgrades, larger class sizes, less competitive compensation for staff, or increased fees for parents, the result is clear: underfunding is undermining the quality of public education in Loudon County.
This year, the Loudoun Education Association is partnering with parents, students and school employees to tell public officials that this year’s budget must meet the needs of schools and students in Loudoun County.
Signatures from online and offline petitions will be presented to the Loudoun County School Board and Board of Supervisors during budget meetings. The Loudoun Education Association will inform signers of opportunities to get involved in the budget process.
