Careless act of action due to the safety of employees
My name is Jennifer Escobosa, my life took a drastic turn when H&M made the decision to terminate me.
On November 23, 2024, I had an unstable customer who was upset at the customer service she received.
The customer didn’t agree with my managing of the store, she gave me feedback and I said okay thank you for your feedback.
She continue in saying
My managing skills are for H&M and I shouldn’t be a manager.
I than told her I am the only manager in the building I’m sorry you feel that but if you don’t this store on the Hnm receipt
It states if a customer is giving you a hard time , you are allowed to refuse their purchase and ask them to leave the store, which I did.
However, the customer wasn’t happened she continued saying threats and disrespecting me, I didn’t feel comfortable
I than again said, you are making uncomfortable and created a hostile environment, she made the staff feel unsafe and uncomfortable.
I called security because she continued and didn’t want to listen to anyone
When security arrive she said what are they’ going to do? They asked her to leave she said she’s not leaving
She said she has police on the phone
So that’s when I said
You called the police
She said yes they’re on the phone now l.
I said okay thank you, you did me a favor.
I stepped to the back office (deco room)
I Called Milford police to ask if any customer called to complain about Hnm. Police said no but there’s dispatch in the mall because of all the threats n pre Black Friday weekend.
Moreover
Police came to the store just follow up because why not?
Nobody expected for me to be terminated because I called the police.
I only called them because she said she called them and I followed up. Technically I won’t have called them. However, me feeling unsafe and being threaten I should be able to call the police. Hr came Dec 10th,2024, called in the store manager from her vacation (so much for work life balance). We didn’t have a conversation or any explanation
Hr said H&M made the decision to let you go. I asked why
According to chapter6
It falls under security, for calling the police. But what about my safety
What about why was I the only manager in the building on a Saturday.
Pre weekend
During our peak hours
I didn’t have security
U didn’t have another manager or the full timer scheduled at the time in need.
I’ve been with Hnm for 18 years.
I started in 2006. In store 002, the second store to open in the United States. How does it even make any sense.
One more thing
The customer continuously said she will have my job
She knows exactly who to talk to.
She said her fiancé is the district manager of Zara’s clothing company.
It makes sense if Zara’s district manager gave Hnm advice.
They treat their employees horrible.
As we can see.

Why is this important?
The safety of employees should be all companies number one priority.
Unlawful termination is wrong
