Encompass Health does not value or respect their human capital
A national company should have brand recognition. You worry about front line marketing staff getting paid without working while having multiple other ways of tracking productivity all while paying for corporate marketing team to creat campaigns that are never released to mass public. Why do you refuse the effectiveness of mass marketing and rely on marketing techniques that went out of style with the Great Depression? 90% of your marketing staff are not professional marketers but clinicians that you force insane marketing demands on while they are required to complete preadmissions screens to admit patients that actually drives 100% of the revenue and are the only part of the marketing staff‘s job that is required by CMS. The turnover rate of marketing staff should BE warning sign however you choose to double down on methods that force salaried employees to work off the clock to meet demands. Micromanaging is an extreme for the marketing staff because regional leaders do not know how to manage remote staff. Any staff that does not conduct at least 75% of their day to day task at your location are in fact REMOTE employees learn to trust and respect them or change how the job is preformed and have them an office to conduct all their job duties. Requiring employees to work from chairs in the lobby, their personal cars, or random fast food joints is not safe for employees health, productive for the company, and violates patient privacy HIPPA! You conducted a marketing employee focus group and choose to change less than 2% of grievances voiced showing you don’t not truly care, respect, or value your marketing staff. Your Teamworks approach is outdated and ineffective in today’s medical community which creates marketing staff to create false data in CRM and you’re chasing false numbers and goals because you’re mandatory outdated demands on marketing staff. Encompass has had multiple walk out by the marketing staff at different hospitals across the country and conducted multiple focus groups to figure out the problem to retain staff but continue to refuse to listen. demonstrating the lack of respect and the desired control to maintain their extreme micromanaging behaviors from corporate managers that apparently have an extreme amount of available time to conduct such micromanagement.
Why is this important?
To protect patients private data which can not be done with liaisons sitting at McDonald's or Starbucks writing preadmissions screens with 3 computer monitors! To improve the health and safety of employees because working in a car or from chairs in lobbies is not ergonomic and potentially hazardous to employees health. Reduce workers comp claims due to creating potentially hazardous work environments. To treat front line marketing staff as humans and attempt to treat them as the professionals that obtain 100% of the business revenue. To retain staff, reduce turnover rates for marketing staff, improve productivity and efficiency, create dedicated employees, and increase revenue with national PAID marketing not free social media with no following. To maintain or gain stock investors, assuming they are unaware of the century old marketing strategies and NO BRAND recognition or national marketing campaigns, which will eventually call stagnation with the company stock price. Reduce revenue spent training new employees by reducing turnover rates as Encompass spends more than $2 million a year to fly marketing staff to home office for the team works training which is extremely outdated and impossible to follow. Embedded and dedicated employees will always outperform stressed out, extremely micromanaged, dissatisfied, and current employees actively looking for employment at other companies
