Create a peaceful work environment
As an employee of Prestige Milwaukie, who is dealing with an intolerable workplace situation, I feel compelled to raise our collective voices against oppressive work cultures. Mine is a personal tale of enduring a negative and stress-filled environment, rife with workplace bullying and unjust treatment. This issue, unfortunately, is not circumscribed to me alone. According to a survey by the Workplace Bullying Institute, almost 60% of U.S. workers have been targeted by a bully at some point in their careers. These practices have dire consequences. The American Institute of Stress notes that 80% of workers are stressed at work, and 40% of workers reported their job was "very or extremely stressful". What is worrisome is this: The situation at Prestige Milwaukie, does not present a better picture. The unfair treatment, favoritism and unprofessional boundaries needs to be adressed.
We must move forward with strict and enforced regulations against workplace harassment, creating healthy environments where everyone feels valued and secure. Share our stories, shed light on this pressing issue, and bridge the gaps between employees and management.
