We are fighting to retain our Boarding Priority. It's unacceptable to have a 6 month active employee board a flight you are standing by with 45 years of seniority. I do not have to tell you how much each of us put into Air Canada during our work life.
This was and still is a benefit of employment. In 2013 we were all equal when it came to boarding a flight based on seniority. Air Canada has bargained that away to all our Unions creating a 3 tier level of passes. B1 for Pilots, C1 for all other active employees an C2 for retirees. We will board last.

Why is this important?
It is better to try and fail than to fail to try. I should not have to tell you why you need to support this fight. You worked for this benefit for most of your working life. Air Canada told us over and over again we would retire with all of our benefits. We did right up until 2013 when the company decided to bargain away travel priority for long term contracts.
It is not very nice to travel 50 or70 miles to an airport only to find out your not getting on. Think of the costs.
